Who is Daniel Miller?

In his role as Senior Vice President of Sun's Global Systems

Practice, Dan Miller is responsible for driving worldwide sales of

Sun's systems products, representing approximately 50% of SMI revenue.

Under Miller's leadership, the Systems Practice will align with the

Systems Product Group to influence a portfolio of server and

workstation products that are responsive to our customers' needs and

reinforce Sun's competitive edge in the market. Miller's personal

platform -- Character, Competency, and Continuity -- reflect his

commitment to doing business with high integrity, working smart, and

delivering results that will ultimately benefit our customers,

employees and shareholders. Operationally, flawless execution and

continuous results are key tenets. Since joining Sun 18 years

ago, Miller has held a number of senior sales, business development and

management positions. Most recently he served as GEM President in

Japan, the second largest IT market in the world, where he oversaw all

aspects of business operations. Prior to that, Miller held several

leadership roles in the Global Sales Organization including Vice

President of the U.S. Telecommunications Market Area, Vice President of

the Global Service Provider Strategy Group, Director of Telco Sales for

the U.S. Western Market, and Director of the Reseller Channel

organization. Throughout his career at Sun, Miller has offered

his leadership and expertise to a number of cross-functional SMI

initiatives including Sun's Global Field Compensation Committee,

Coverage Committee, Leadership Council, and IT Sourcing Council. In

2000, he received the prestigious Leadership Award recognizing his

outstanding leadership abilities and contributions to Sun's Service

Provider strategy. Before joining Sun, Miller started his IT

career at NBI, Inc., a Colorado-based computer systems company, where

he held a variety of Product Marketing, Sales, and Management

positions. He holds a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Business

Administration from the University of Colorado with emphasis in

Information Systems and Marketing. Miller currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, Sheryl, and two children
