Who was Dorothea Augusta of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorp?
Dorothea Auguste was a German noblewoman. She was a daughter of John Adolf, Duke of Holstein-Gottorp and Princess Augusta of Denmark.
She married in 1633 to Joachim Ernest, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Plön. Joachim Ernest and Dorothea Augusta had six children:
John Adolphus, also known as Hans Adolf, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Plön, married Dorothea of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel
