Who is Douglas C. Carlisle?

Douglas C. Carlisle is Managing Partner at Menlo Ventures. Doug has been at Menlo since 1982 and focuses on investments in the information technology sector. His current board seats and investments include : Drivecam, LIveOps, Cellfire, Vidyo, Nexxo, Nlight Photonics, RF Surgical, and Readyforce. His prior investments include Hotmail (sold to Microsoft), Pyxis (pyxs- acquired by Cardinal Health), Cyras Systems (acquired by Ciena), Efficient Networks (acquired by Seimens), Open Solutions, Octel Communications, HNC Software (merged into Fair Isaacs – FICO), Kalpana (acquired by Cisco), Stratacom (acquired by Cisco), Ironport Systems (acquired by Cisco), Aeroscout (acquired by Stanley), and Carrier Access Corporation. Doug is a graduate of UC Berkeley (BS – EECS) and Stanford University (JD/MBA). He and his wife Lauri Sanders have six children (including a set of triplets) and live in Portola Valley, California. Doug enjoys flying and is an instrument rated private pilot with approximately 2,000 hours in his Pilatus PC-12.
