Who was Duke Constantine Petrovich of Oldenburg?
Konstantin Friedrich Peter von Holstein-Gottorp, Duke of Oldenburg was a son of Duke Peter Georgievich of Oldenburg and his wife Princess Therese of Nassau-Weilburg Known in the court of Tsar Nicholas II as Duke Constantine Petrovich of Oldenburg, he was the father of the Russian Counts and Countesses von Zarnekau. He became notorious for his role in the secret marriage of the Tsar's brother, the Grand Duke George Alexandrovich of Russia. He was exiled for his role in the Nakachidze Affair of 1903—his assertion that George's children had a right to claim the Russian throne.
