Who is Electra Waggoner Biggs?

Electra Waggoner Biggs was an American sculptor. Her works include a statue, Riding Into the Sunset, of actor Will Rogers on his horse Soapsuds.

According to the Waggoner Ranch Web site, John Biggs' brother-in-law, Harlow H. 'Red' Curtice, President of the Buick Division of General Motors, named the Buick Electra after her. The town of Electra, Texas was named after her aunt, Electra Waggoner, after whom Electra Waggoner Biggs was named.
