Who is Etienne de Groér?
French Master Planner responsable for a number of infuential master plans in Portugal, including Olivais (1943-1948), Lisbon (1948), Costa do Sol (1945-1948), Luanda (1944-1946), Coimbra, Sintra (1949), Evora (1940-1945). Etienne de Groér is one of several foreign master plannners brought to Portugal by Duarte Pacheco in the 1930's and his work influenced the growth of a number of Portuguese towns and cities.
