Who is Eugene Spates?
Eugene Spates is an American professional basketball player. A Dallas, Texas native, Spates played collegiately with the Northeastern University Huskies in Boston, Massachusetts from 2006-2009. With Northeastern, Spates averaged 7.5 points in 95 career games. He signed a contract with BC Mess in Luxembourg, where he averaged 34.6 points and 13.2 rebounds per game. He was drafted in the 7th round by the Maine Red Claws in the 2010 NBA Development League Draft. Through 27 games with the Red Claws, Spates averaged 6.7 points and 3.9 rebounds in 16.3 minutes per game. In February 2011, he was traded to the Armor for Vernon Goodridge. He now plays with Nuwaidrat of the Bahrain Premier League.
