Who is Federico Martínez Roda?

Federico Martínez Roda born in Requena 1950, he studied philosophy and literature and law at the University of Valencia where he received his PhD in History in 1979 with an extensive and innovative research on the Port of Valencia. He extended his studies in Brussels and Geneva. His research began in 1973 with his thesis about Valencian Illustration directed by Juan Reglá. Ever since, he has focused in four lines of research: valencia theme, historical methodology, globalization, international relations and military issues. He began his teaching career as secondary school teacher becoming soon Highschool´s headmaster in Mislata and Utiel . Later he was C.A.P. coordinator in Geography and History for the University of Valencia, secretary general of the Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera from 2001 to 2008 and Vice Chancellor of the University CEU San Pablo from 2011 to 2013. He is currently Professor of Contemporary History . As a university professor has been invited to the universities of Krakow, Wroclaw, Lima, King 's Point, New York, Managua, St. Pölten and Wisconsin. Among his merits, he has collaborated with newspapers Provinces, Informations & World, member of the Royal Academy of Valencian Culture since 2006, director of historian publications such as Anthropology and Oral Sources and Contributions, editor of the cientific magazine published by theReal Academia de Cultura Valenciana "Annals" since 2008.
