Who is Fernando Lopez?
As Vice President and General Manager for Latin
America the Caribbean (LAC), Fernando Lopez is responsible for
the strategic development of sales and all aspects of the business in
the region. Prior to his current position Mr. Lopez served as General
Manager for Latin America the Caribbean (CALA), excluding Brazil.
Under his leadership the region saw an exponential growth, increasing
the importance of the international business for VeriFone. Mr. Lopez
has more than 20 years experience in sales. He joined the company in
1995 as a sales representative after VeriFone acquired PentaMex, its
International Partner, and establishing VeriFone Mexico. In 1998 he was
appointed General Manager for the Mexico office. Mr. Lopez holds a
Bachelor in Industrial Engineering and a degree in Business
Development, both from the Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico City. Mr.
Lopez is fluent in English and Spanish. He is based in LAC
Headquarters, in Miami, Fl.
