Who was Francisco Luis Urquizo?
Francisco Luis Urquizo Benavides was a Mexican soldier, revolutionary general, writer and historian. With Mariano Azuela, Mauricio Magdaleno, Martín Luis Guzmán and José Vasconcelos, he was one of the main authors of the so-called novela revolucionaria, which was a literary account of episodes in the Mexican Revolution. He was twice Secretary of National Defense.
