Frank Francis Osmond born in Newport district, is a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s, '40s and '50s, playing club level rugby union for Newport RFC, as a Hooker, i.e. number 2, and playing representative level rugby league for Wales, and at club level for Swinton, as a Hooker, i.e. number 9, during the era of contested scrums.
