Who is Frank Stirrup?
Francis "Frank" Stirrup birth registered in Leigh, was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1950s and '60s, playing at representative level for Lancashire, and at club level for Culcheth ARLFC, Salford, and Oldham, as a Fullback, Wing, Stand-off/Five-eighth, or Scrum-half/Halfback, i.e. number 1, 2 or 5, 6, or 7. Frank Stirrup signed for Oldham during November 1950, and made his début against Belle Vue Rangers on Saturday 20 January 1951.
