Who was Frederic Sellers?

Sir Frederic Aked Sellers was a lawyer and judge in England and Wales.

Sellers was prospective Liberal party candidate for Sudbury in 1939; the planned election was postponed however and he never contested the seat. He contested the 1945 General Election as a Liberal party candidate at Hendon North, coming third.

Sellers was appointed a Justice of the Queen's Bench Division of the High Court of England and Wales on 13 February 1946. A few days later he was knighted. He was promoted to be a Lord Justice of Appeal in the Court of Appeal of England and Wales on 11 January 1957. Following that appointment, Sellers was made a member of the Privy Council of the United Kingdom. He retired from his judicial office on 10 January 1968.
