Who was Gane Todorovski?

Gane Todorovski was a Macedonian poet, translator, essayist literary critic and historian, publicist. Graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy, University "SS. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje, where he gained his Ph.D. with the thesis "Slavs Veda and its mystificators". Worked as a journalist with "Tanjug", "Mlad borec" and "Studentski zbor".

Long-time professor of Croatian and Macedonian Literature of 19th century at the Faculty of Philology in Skopje. One-time president of the Macedonian Writers’ Association and. President of the Board of the Struga Poetry Evenings Festival, and editor-in-chief of the journal "Mlada literatura".

He was born and died in Skopje.
