Who is Greg Krischke?
Greg Krischke is the current mayor of Leduc, Alberta. Krischke was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and has lived in Leduc since 1960. He graduated from the University of Alberta in 1975 with a Bachelor of Physical Education degree. He served in many senior management positions with Air Canada until he was elected to the Leduc City Council in 1995, on which he served 3 terms as an alderman. He was elected mayor in 2004, and was acclaimed mayor in the Alberta municipal elections, 2010.
Krischke is married to Jo-Anne and has 2 children and 5 grandchildren. On February 11, 2011 it was announced that Krischke would be taking a 2 month leave of absence to undergo surgery for prostate cancer, effective February 14, 2011.
