Who is Gérard Jones?

Gérard Jones is an entrepreneur from Selby, England, former youth football player for Halifax Town and co-founder behind the Gérard School of Football, a football coaching business he established aged 19 with his father Bryn in February 2009 which previously worked in partnership with Arsenal FC operating Arsenal Soccer Schools in the Humberside and East Riding of Yorkshire region.

In 2011, the Institute for Public Policy Research regional arm ippr north listed Jones in the Northern Lights Top 50 a list of the "Top 50 brightest and most talented people in the North of England".

At present, Jones runs Premier Skills Coaching in Yorkshire, a football coach education and player development company designed to develop great coaches and outstanding players, and is also a Director of Gérard Jones Enterprises, his own football coaching, coach education and public speaking company. In 2012 Jones was published in a book by Marshall Cavendish, a subsidiary company to the Times Publishing Group among 25 young entrepreneurs from around the world, having also been listed among six of Yorkshire's leading award-winning young entrepreneurs by The Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Bank business magazine 'Journal' in 2013, published by leading publishers Condé Nast, who have each turned innovative ideas into thriving companies.
