Who was Hameeduddin Aqil?
Hameeduddin Husami Husammi, Urdu: حميد الدين, was an Indian Muslim religious scholar followed particularly in South Asia and also among the South Asian diaspora in the Middle East, Western Europe, and North America. Born in Hyderabad Deccan, in India, the second son of Fazil Husami, he is the founder of the Darul Uloom Hyderabad, a branch of the Darul Uloom Deoband. He was a regular orator at Friday Prayers at Jama Masjid, Darushifa, Hyderabad, until his death.
