Who is Hugh Martin?

Hugh C. Martin has been a member of the board of directors of Infinera since July 2003.Since April 2004, Mr. Martin has served as Chairman and Chief

Executive Officer of Pacific Biosciences, Inc., a biotechnology

company. From September 2003 to April 2004, Mr. Martin acted as a

consultant to Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield Byers, a venture capital

firm. From May 2002 to May 2003, Mr. Martin was a consultant to Ciena.

From January 1998 to May 2002, Mr. Martin was the Chairman, President

and Chief Executive Officer of ONI Systems Corporation, a fiber-optic

communications equipment company. Mr. Martin holds a B.S.E.E. from

Rutgers University.
