Who is Irina D. França?

Irina D. Franca is a singer from Angola born in the city of Luanda. She spent some of her childhood and most of her teen years in the United States of America,where her parents Antonio Dos Santos Franca and Maria Joao Franca were fulfilling a diplomatic mission as Ambassadors of the Republic of Angola to the United States. Although she is described by many as very funny, entertaining and upbeat, her music is often romantic and soulful dealing with love and relationships. She is also fluent in Spanish, French, and Arabic, but the songs for her debut album were mainly written and sung in English and Portuguese.

Her musical style is described as Angolan Pop, a genre that crosses contemporary Semba, Zouk, Pop Rock, Rhythm & Blues, World Sound and Afro-Pop.
