Who is Irving I. Stone?

Irving I. Stone was an American philanthropist, businessman, and founder-chairman of American Greetings, which was founded by his father Jacob Sapirstein.

He was a longtime Cleveland, Ohio resident and generous benefactor of its many institutions both Jewish and otherwise. The Jerusalem suburb of Tel-Stone is named in his honor. Among the causes the Stones supported were Yeshiva University and the Chinuch Atzmai Torah schools in Israel.
