Who is Itzik Shmuli?
Itzik Shmuli is an Israeli politician who was elected as a Labor Party member of the Knesset in the 2013 general election. He is a former leader of the National Union of Israeli Students.
Shmuli, who completed his mandatory military service in the Israel Defense Forces, is still a reservist in the Armored Corps. He had to miss his first planned speech in the Knesset after being called up for reserve duty in his tank unit.
