Ivar W. Brogger was a Norwegian-born American inventor credited with the invention of auto direction signal lights in 1933, as well as a low level of oil indicator in automobiles in 1928. Brogger was born in Alesund, Norway, received his electrical degree in Hanover, Germany and immigrated to the USA in 1906.
