Who is Jim Burns?

James B. "Jim" Burns is a retired American basketball player.

He played collegiately for Northwestern University.

He was selected by the Chicago Bulls in the 4th round of the 1967 NBA Draft. A native of McLeansboro, Illinois, he was able to play with another McLeansboro native, Jerry Sloan, for three games with the Bulls during the 1967-68 season. Burns also played for the Dallas Chaparrals in the ABA for 33 games.
