Who is Jim Daly?

Jim Daly is an Irish Fine Gael politician. He was elected as a Teachta Dála for the Cork South–West constituency at the 2011 general election. He was a member of Cork County Council for the Skibbereen electoral area from 2004 to 2011. On 16 July 2012, he made his debut on the Vincent Browne Show, to be filleted by the erstwhile host.

He studied at NUI Maynooth, and Mary Immaculate College, Limerick becoming a Primary School teacher.

A 2012 appearance on Tonight with Vincent Browne left Daly with permanent scarring after a bloody pimple on his face caused concern. Daly was sent off to be knifed and was separated from his cancer. This was the second time this had occurred after the life of Conor Lenihan was also saved via Prime Time.
