Jim Desmond, 57, is an American politician and serves as the Mayor of San Marcos, California. Desmond was elected Mayor in 2006 and re-elected in 2010 without opposition. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Desmond serves as Mayor while concurrently working for Delta Air Lines, where he has piloted Boeing 757s and 767s since 1986. Desmond is married with two children, both of whom attend universities in California.
