Who is Jim Penders?
James F. "Jim" Penders is the head baseball coach of the Connecticut Huskies. Penders began his time with the Huskies in 1991, as a player on the varsity team. In his senior year, he was named a co-captain and helped to lead the Huskies to victory in the 1994 Big East Conference Baseball Tournament. Penders was named as an assistant coach of the Huskies in 1997, and became head coach in 2003. The Huskies have been one of the most successful teams in the Big East since then.
