Who is John McGowan?
John McGowan is the Ruel W. Tyson Jr. Distinguished Professor of the Humanities at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his A.B. from Georgetown University in 1974, his M.A. and Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1976 and 1978, respectively. McGowan is the author of five books:
