Who is John Scott?

John Scott is an English darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation events. His nickname is Gnasher and he qualified for the 2012 PDC Pro Tour in 2012 via the Q School Order of Merit.

Scott made his major debut at the 2012 UK Open at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton. He lost out 2-4 Brian Woods in the preliminary round. He qualified via the UK Open Order of Merit in tied 96th place with a total of £600 - winning £200 in three of the eight qualifying events.

Scott also qualified for the 2012 PDC European Tour Event 1 in Vienna by defeating Mark Hylton in the qualifying event. He lost 5-6 in the first round of the main event to Denis Ovens.

In 2013, Scott once again qualified for the 2013 UK Open at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, making his televised debut in a 2-5 defeat to James Hubbard. He had qualified with a total of £800 winnings. In the eight qualifying events he recorded victories against, among others, Peter Manley and Andy Jenkins.

Soon after his 2013 UK Open defeat, Scott qualified for 2013 PDC European Tour Event 6 in Hildesheim, defeating Adrian Gray and Lee Palfreyman in the qualifying event. He has been drawn to play Arron Monk in the main event.
