Who is John Streicker?
John Streicker is a former president of the Green Party of Canada and the former candidate for the party in the federal electoral district of Yukon. Stricker is a professional engineer, and lectures at Yukon College. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a masters degree in engineering from the University of New Brunswick. In the 2008 federal election he got 13% of the vote, a margin which grew to 19% in 2011. He lives in Marsh Lake, Yukon.
In October 2012, Streicker was elected to Whitehorse City Council.
