Who is Juan Andrés?
Juan Andrés is the name chosen by a Moorish scholar, born in Játiva, Spain who converted to Catholicism in 1487 in the Cathedral of Valencia. Becoming a priest, he was made an envoy by the Catholic Monarchs Ferdinando and Isabela, to preach Christianity in Granada after it was reconquered.
