Who is Lee Ji-Eun?
Lee Ji-Eun is a South Korean swimmer, who specialized in freestyle events. She won two bronze medals for the freestyle events at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar.
Lee qualified for the women's 400 m freestyle at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, by clearing a FINA B-standard entry time of 4:19.42 from Jeju Halla Cup in Jeju City. She challenged six other swimmers on the second heat, including Malaysia's Khoo Cai Lin and Venezuela's Yanel Pinto. She raced to fifth place by one second behind Puerto Rico's Kristina Lennox-Silva in 4:21.53. Lee failed to advance into the final, as she placed thirty-sixth overall in the preliminary heats.
