Who is Leo Williams?

Leo Williams is a retired American high jumper.

He won the gold medal at the 1981 Summer Universiade and the silver medal at the 1983 Pan American Games. He also competed at the 1983 World Championships without reaching the final.

His personal best jump is 2.29 metres, achieved in June 1982 in Provo, Utah.

Leo competed for the US Naval Academy and Muncie Burris High School and led his track teams to numerous conference championships and invitational successes, winning the Tom DeWitt-Shelby Smith Academic Excellence Award combining athletic and advanced mathematics success.
