Who is Lil Edann?

Ethan Michael Adlam, known professionally as Lil Edann, is a South African rapper. Born on 19 January 2006, in his homestate Krugersdorp. Edann started making music as an escape from reality, he quotes.

He said that there wasn’t an escape from all the pain and anxiety he felt since he was a child. Edann indulged in various sports and activities, and would usually spend all his time focusing on his sport and friends. Edann said that he used to listen to music and would sing along, and once thought that he could be be the one that everyone listens to. Edann never had much of a thought persuading music and never shown interest. As the young rapper grew older he noticed that music and him had a special bond which he also said that, music to him wasn’t about how high you can sing or how your words rhyme, but instead the story you tell. He said that when he was around 12 years old he participated in a school musical, and had the opportunity to cover a song the school would dance to. He said that as soon as he walked in the studio he immediately fell in love and would come back everytime he got the money. The young rapper had his first cover recorded in the same studio and he said that he felt his music wasn’t for him and he did not feel satisfied with his voice and pronunciation. Edann decide to quit music, although he still had the passion for it. He never stopped writing lyrics and would freestyle to beats that he found off YouTube. Edann said that he knew music was always his passion and he would never been able to stop writing lyrics and free styling to beats. The young rapper always searched for studios that wasn’t expensive and close to his home, Edann said that he found a studio off Google that had a very close distance to his house but the price had a big impact on his dreams. Edann used to save his tuck shop money and would spend it on his studio, to persuade his dreams. He would uses every last second of his time to make sure he wrote catchy, storytelling and personal experiences he went through. He released his first single caller “Beastmode”. Edann felt like he had a big chance at taking the world by storm and chasing his dreams. He quotes, “No one believed in me, I was the one who believed in myself.”
