Who is Lisa Block de Behar?

Lisa Block de Behar is a Uruguayan linguist.

She obtained her doctorate in Paris with a thesis titled A Rhetoric of Silence.

In 1984 she was awarded the Xavier Villaurrutia Award.

She was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1987.
