Who is Lisa K. Gilbert?
Lisa K. Gilbert, PhD is VP, Health Communications at ASHA.
Dr. Gilbert's areas of research specialization include adolescent and women's health, STI prevention (including hepatitis and cervical cancer), and reproductive health/sex education and risk reduction, and developing innovative education and evaluation methods, such as Web-based tools.
Prior to joining ASHA, Dr. Gilbert served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Idaho where she taught a variety of health education courses to undergraduate and graduate students, and conducted, published, and presented health education research. She also has taught health education courses at the University of Maryland, University College, American University and Montgomery Community College.
