Who is Loner The Rapper?

Born and bred in Portharcourt, Nigeria, Sunday Ikpoenaan always had a flair for music and the arts. A talented artist right from age 9, he started exploring his different talents one after the other, one of which was songwriting. He would remix songs and make rhymes so easily but never once did the thought of joining the music industry enter into his mind. To him at that time, Afro music was all! Not until age 15...

Call it peer pressure or whatever you want to, but slowly he started drifting away into non-Nigerian sounds, mainly hip-hop and lo-fi. Then it happened all of a sudden. Music in him only needed a little push, and so his heartbreak experience pushed him a little too much I guess. He started writing emo songs, and without giving himself time to think, decided he was to be a rapper, after the late Juice WRLD 999, whose death was coincidentally that same year. Teaming up with Freddy Nova and some others, he formed a band Mixed GENRE becoming more and more like a kind of family, bringing ideas and songs together, every single member of the group a different talent, but at the time his only audience was his class. Late 2020, he drops his first amatuer single "Verified" on his audiomack platform, the song being recorded on his cellphone via Bandlab. To date he still has a lot of unreleased tracks mainly covers, and his debut is on the way, the "But-I'll-Fly" album/EP! Till date he is with the MXG but currently unsigned and still emitting untapped energy!
