Who is Loïck Peyron?

Loick Peyron is a renowned French ocean racer born in Nantes in 1959. Taking part in the Mini Transat at the age of 19, he has since crossed the Atlantic in more than forty competitions winning many, including three times the Plymouth-Boston Transat, a record in of itself since this race has only seen one-time winners, with the exception of Eric Tabarly who won it twice. Loick is known for his successes in solo as well as in pair, on mono-hull as trimaran. He's been at the helm of IMOCA 60s like Gitana Eighty, Fujicolor III and Vibrac-Paprec as well as trimarans like Fujicolor.

Loick is also the brother of Bruno and Stéphane Peyron, who, too, have an impressive sailing record of their own.
