Rahula on olnud Tallinna 21. Kooli muusikaõpetaja. Ta asutas 1988. aasta septembris Tallinna Poistekoori ning sestpeale on ta koori kunstiline juht ja peadirigent. 2003. aastal asutas ta Eesti Lastekoori.
