Who is Manas Chakraborty?

Pandit Manas Chakraborty was an Indian classical vocalist. He belonged to Kotali Gharana started by his father and guru Sangeetacharya Tarapada Chakraborty. Chakraborty performed at many music conferences and programs including the Allauddin Music Conference, the 5th RIMPA Music Festival, Swai Gandharva Sangeet Mahotsav. He was a writer and composer. He used the pseudonym Sadasant or Sadasant Piya to write bandish. He composed many Bengali songs.
