Who is Mehmet F. Celebi?
Mehmet Celebi is the former Turkish president of the Turkish American Cultural Association. He is a fellow with the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding and an expert on US Turkey Relations. He was a fund-raiser for Hillary Clinton, he also produced television programs and motion picture films and was accused of links to a controversial movie about Iraq.
Celebi serves on multiple boards including the Dean's International Council of the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. He is an organizer of Fashionable Istanbul and assists in attracting direct foreign investment in Turkey. Celebi also served on the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations Task Force on "Strengthening America: The Civic and Political Integration of Muslim Americans". Celebi is the co-founder of the Turkish-Greek Friendship Committee.
