Who is Mel Norton?
Mel K. Norton is the 66th and current mayor of Saint John, New Brunswick in Canada. He was elected in the municipal election on May 14, 2012, and assumed office May 28, 2012. He was preceded in office by Ivan Court.
Norton also served as a city councillor in Ward 3 until his swearing-in ceremony on May 21, 2012. He was first elected to council in a by-election in December 2010.
