Who is Mohamed El Nady?
Mohamed El-Nady is an Egyptian swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. El-Nady qualified for the men's 50 m freestyle at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, by clearing a FINA B-standard entry time of 22.36 from the Pan Arab Games in Cairo. He challenged seven other swimmers on the twelfth heat, including three-time Olympian Stefan Nystrand of Sweden and top medal favorite Amaury Leveaux of France. El Nady rounded out the field to last place by more than a second behind Russia's Andrey Grechin in 23.92 seconds. El-Nady failed to advance into the semifinals, as he placed fifty-fourth out of 97 swimmers in the preliminaries.
