Oscar Franklin Peatross born 2 March 1916 died 26 May 1993, was a decorated and retired United States Marine Corps Major General who served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. In 1993, the parade deck at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island was named after Peatross.
