Who was Oskar Vorbrugg?
Oskar Vorbrugg was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Luftwaffe during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Oskar Vorbrugg was captured in May 1945 by British troops and died while in captivity in May 1946
