Who is Paul Michael Privateer?

Paul Michael Privateer is an American postmodern cultural and technology philosopher. Presently he is the founder and CEO of STS Interfaces, a Seattle based LLC that develops new interfaces and information management tools for users wanting greater personal and customized control over the Internet as well as intelligent web-based products and services.

Privateer’s past work focuses on the ideological nature of identity, social constructions and ideological uses of human intelligence, and how information technology and digitalization impacts human consciousness and global culture. His current work is focused on the nature of interfaces as a cultural and technological construct, especially the ideological values inherent in interface designs and user engagement.

His interest in data sciences is at the center of his national initiative to apply data analytics, probability models, pattern recognition and psychological informatics to reducing school shootings.
