Who is Thomas G. Miller?

Lieutenant General Thomas G. Miller was a senior officer in the United States Army and the former commander of the First United States Army. Miller succeeded Lieutenant General Russel L. Honoré as commander of the First Army on January 11, 2008, when he was promoted to lieutenant general. As head of the First Army, Miller was responsible for the training, readiness and mobilization of National Guard and Army Reserve units in all U.S. states and territories as they prepare for deployment as needed by U.S. combat commanders globally. He is the son of retired Colonel William H. Miller, who served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.
