Who is Tige C. Johnson?

Tige C. Johnson has experienced over fifteen years of legal, managerial and entrepreneurial experience. Mr. Johnson is Co-owner of TRATS Developments, LLC, a real estate development and investment company, and Credo Partners, LLC, a general contracting company, both with projects currently in The Village of University Park, Illinois (cityScape Town homes); Chicago, Illinois (Bronzeville – Richoux Condominiums, West Rogers Park); Highland Park, Illinois (The Pointe on Lake Cook Road and Green at The Spring on the former Sparkling Springs bottled-water facility); and Esterillos Oeste, Costa Rica (Vista Serena Hotel and Condominiums).

In addition, Mr. Johnson is one of the Managing Partners of the law firm CLARK & JOHNSON LLC with his legal practice primarily in the areas of corporate formation and finance, corporate mergers and acquisitions, real estate matters, private equity fund matters, securities, banking, corporate law and international law. Mr. Johnson served as Co-founder and Managing Broker of Kramerica Brokers, LLC, a commercial and residential real estate brokerage and investment firm in Chicago, Illinois with operations in greater Illinois, Maui, Hawaii and Costa Rica. Mr. Johnson was formerly Assistant Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of CNA Financial Corporation where he was responsible for domestic and international corporate acquisitions and divestitures, corporate finance, and United States economic sanctions regulations.

Prior to joining CNA Financial, Mr. Johnson was a Senior Associate at the law firm of Altheimer & Gray where he served as Managing Associate of the firm’s Eastern European practice through the Bratislava, Slovakia and Prague, Czech Republic offices, and was a practicing member of the Corporate, Finance and Securities Practice Group of the Chicago office. Mr. Johnson began his legal career at the law firm of Varnum, Riddering Schmidt and Howlett, LLC in Grand Rapids, Michigan where he was a member of the Corporate Practice Group and the liaison attorney to the Real Estate Practice Group. As part of his responsibilities and experience at Varnum, Mr. Johnson was instrumental in structuring and closing corporate stock and asset acquisitions and divestitures ranging in deal size from $500,000.00 to over $4 billion.

Mr. Johnson earned a Masters of Law (LL.M.) With Merit in International Business Transactions and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London, where he was a member of the International Law Association — British Branch. He earned his law degree (Juris Doctorate) from the Vanderbilt University School of Law where he was a Dean’s List student, Justice for the Traveling Teams on the Vanderbilt Moot Court Board, and chapter President of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. Mr. Johnson attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he obtained a Bachelor of the Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Economics, With Distinction, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Golden Key National Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma honor society and Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He has been admitted to practice law in Illinois, Michigan and Washington, D.C.
