Ta lõpetas aastal 1981 Tartu 2. Keskkooli, on õppinud Tallinna Riiklikus Konservatooriumis ja Tartu Ülikooli ajaloo-keeleteaduskonnas.
Toomas Lunge töötas kuni sügiseni 2008 Vanemuise Teatri muusikalise kujundajana.
