Who was Velda Johnston?
Velda Johnston was an American writer of romantic-suspense novels. She also wrote under the pseudonym Veronica Jason. She was raised and educated in California. As an adult she and her husband divided their time between an apartment in Manhattan and a nineteenth-century house on eastern Long Island. Miss Johnston sold her first short story while still in high school. Since then her work, both fiction and nonfiction, appeared in scores of magazines in the United States and abroad. In her writing, Velda Johnston's writing provides examples of young women who seek happiness and fulfillment in an assertive, independent manner.
