Who was William Frederick Wyndham?
Husband of Agnes Wyndham née Agnes Willoughby, his many hairbrained schemes forced him to sell Felbrigg Hall, Norfolk, in 1863. his short marriage to Agnes broke down soon after their nuptials, and she ran off with an Italian opera singer called Antonio Guiglini.
Mad Wyndham's uncle became concerned about the expense of Agnes and tried to have "Mad" Wyndham declared insane to save the family estate, but despite eating 18 eggs for breakfast the 40 day trial found him sane, and so soon Felbrigg was lost.
